This illustration series began as a personal project inspired by a portrait of my late dog, Buti. Initially, the digital painting was meant to be just a study for a traditional acrylic painting. Because of that, I didn’t focus on creating perfect shapes and used more texture than usual to simulate paint on canvas — something quite different from the digital work I've been doing lately.

 

When I finished, I really liked the result. Even before following through with the idea of turning it into a physical painting, I ended up creating more pieces in this style, wanting to explore it further — and I’ve been really enjoying the process.
